I KNOW, I know, it's been a while, thank you for your patience. My work is STILL killing me, and with new year's, my brother birthday, and the general festivities I'll still be full of work to do for another week at least, but I'm hoping to have more time later to come back to first the usual schedule (once every 4 days) and slowly to the every other day one.

So like, We know Eden is like a bigass rock. And WE KNOW the creatures of lights and OURSELF, when we fly to orbit, are completely immune to any of the shards and physical stone that come in our way.

SO, maybe we can't destroy the Eye by ourself, BUT, with a little help, maybe we have a chance :D

For anyone asking, the specific wish "for Siffrin to see the Universe" was made because the Eye is exactly in the way of the road to Orbit, and the only way for him to get safe all the way up is to have, well, the eye outta way.

So the creatures being called are the result of the wish.

Yeah so for everyone who though that comic was dead, well that was greatly exaggerated.

SO thank you @dishesaverybadusername because I took that personally and made me speedrun the update even though I had like- 3 deadlines lmao.

No, the comic is not dead, I just had to work around 12 hours a day for the past 2 months and I was at the verge of physically and emotionally collapsing every day, and I knew I could only keep going with one comic at the time. Now the deadlines are apporaching so my workload is going to lower down a little.

Still, if you will continue to read the comic, thank you for your patience. I really needed to prioritize my already terrible mental and physical health. (I haven't felt the sun in 2 weeks)

Headcanons you say? Well, if you are interested in my headcanons i HAD to explain them in the best way possible. Because of that, i decided that i want to tell you about the headcanon i've thought of the most

BEHOLD

Well! I don't even know where to start! Probably i need to explain what i think skykid's "core" is and how it works

Skykid's core is located in their chest and acts as their heart (obviously). This core stores all gained winged light which helps skykids upgrade their wings(this is also obvious, im pretty sure that this is canon, even).

What would happen if the core stores too much light?

If there is too much light energy in one skykid, the body just cannot exist. Skykid will dissolve into thin air and particles of their light will fly into orbit, where after a while a new skykid will form.

What would happen if the core stores no light?

What would happen if the core is destroyed?

Skykid is dead

BUUUT!!! WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE CORE IS INJURED??? The skykid becomes permanentally wingless

You can imagine an injured core as a poorly glued vase from whose cracks water constantly flows out and only a small amount remains inside.

How can it be injured? Probably by anything haha. Red shards? Krills? An unfortunate fall at the very beginning? Anything can cause core damage, but to be real, it almost never happens.(Skykid's core is very fragile, it's easy to destroy it, but hard to "make a crack" on it)

Since core injury means that skykid has a very small amount of light, it also affects their appearance.

Wingless skykids, unlike any other, emit very little light and their limbs are mostly darker than the rest of the body. Looking at them you might think they are sick!

The injured core has almost no effect on the physical condition of the skykid, but it is important to beware of dangerous places!

Aaand i guess that's it. All my ramblings on wingless skykids! I'm pretty sure that someone before me already had a thought of that, but it was fun to write anyway.
